He Xiaopeng is the 48-year-old billionaire boss of Xpeng, a Chinese electric-vehicle group. He studied computer science in Guangzhou in the 1990s and co-founded UCWeb, a mobile internet browser, in 2004; by 2012 UCWeb had 500m users, and Alibaba bought him out, making him a billionaire. He co-founded Xpeng in 2014 and has led it since 2017. On April 1st 2026 he renamed the firm Xpeng Group to reflect its expansion into humanoid robots and flying cars. His polymath ambitions have drawn comparisons with Elon Musk.
